eDev Technologies extended inteGREAT’s existing capability to support a Decision Modeling approach including following functionality:
- Graphics to support the decision model notation, specifically adopting the unique Microsoft Visio Symbols of The Decision Model.
- Ability to import spreadsheets to populate the rules data maintenance capabilities.
- Establishment of a glossary to support The Decision Model.
The Decision Model
The Decision Model represents business logic (business rules) in a rigorous, atomic, normalized structure that is clearly defined, eliminating duplicate and possibly conflicting interpretations. The Relational Model changed the way we manage data. Today, the Decision Model does the same for business decisions and rules. Practice proves that The Decision Model significantly reduces cost and time in capturing managing and testing business rules. Using this approach leads to a dramatic simplification of process models,
use cases and other event models. Moreover, Decision Model automation reduces the time from business policy changes to automation by 30-40%.
